Ostrava Python Pizza

Pizza!

On February 21st, a small conference was held in Ostrava. I really appreciate Czech Python community for regularly organizing events to bring together old and new folks, this time including a big portion of Polish friends. I haven't really programmed in Poland, ever, but with EuroPython happening this year in Kraków, it feels I've got one foot in the doorstep of my homeland's communities. Leave through the door, come back through the window, it seems.

The talk

I delivered a talk offering a perspective on using LLMs for creating projects that are suited for one user only, and if such projects are mobile apps - also freeing oneself from the terror of the ad companies and other entities interested in highly personal data. You can watch it here: I scratched my itch and so should you.

One of the goals I had for this talk was to deliver it without slides. This increased the stress a bit, adding to the already stressful state of not getting enough sleep the night before. I like the idea of media as augmentation, but not the backbone of the talk - I keep using less words in my slides, mostly for the audience to have something to hook at. In the end, it was quite a pleasant experience, and I'm going to work this direction more, whenever possible.

Many thanks to the Python community for organizing this get together!
